An adventure bed with two sleeping levels consists of 50 metres of beam material e.g. the MONTEREY model. The longest pieces of wood are up to 220cm long and it is therefore easy to understand that the stability of an adventure bed is dependent on the strength of the beams and the resulting size of the contact surfaces connecting them. In the case of the MONTEREY-adventure bed this alone consists of over 160 contact surfaces, which are connected to one another with the flathead metal screws which leads to greater stability. |

Extensive tests
(normally done in comparison to competing products) have shown, that transfering pressure
through rotary, twisting and bending motions can have an effect on the strength of an
adventure bed, especially the connecting surfaces. The designer of WOODLANDs adventure
beds decided that they should have robust thick beams which no other adventure bed
manufacturer offers: 58 x 58 Millimetre!.

| Low knot content pinewood prevents weaknesses and creates stability in the wood | ||
| A further stability factor: Low
knot content pinewood is not just better looking but provides better stabilty
especially against turning pressure. e.g. for climbing ropes and hammock seats, which
experience shows can cause the knot area to crack.

| Maximum quality for your money | ||
| Athough the production at
WOODLAND of low knot content wood measuring 58mm x 58mm is much more expensive; the first
class wood materials and 58mm beam thickness have fully paid for themselves a thousand
times over with our customers receiving the benefits. The clever customer does not have to
look for the cheapest adventure bed, but can look for the adventure bed with the lowest
price cost relationship: customer enquiries have shown that a high percentage of our
customers say next to the workmanship quality and the material strength, the wood used in
our products played an important role as well.

Conclusion: Don't decide on a manufacturer, who allows
their furniture to suffer the negative consequences of low quality of the wood and poor workmanship.
